The J.O.Y Ministries seeks to glorify God as we minister to the senior adults of First Baptist Church and those in the Morehead City area. Our senior adults are an essential part of many ministries within our church. It is our goal to provide ministries for our senior adults to grow spiritually, to enjoy fellowship with one another, to serve others, and to gain more knowledge on topics of interest. Come and join us on this mission.
"Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come." Pslams 71:18 (NIV)

Movie & Popcorn
Join us for the movie “Sound of Freedom” in the conference room. Sound of Freedom was inspired by an extraordinary true story of Tim Ballard, portrayed by Jim Caviezel, a former US government agent which reveals courage and hope even in the world’s darkest corners. After Tim rescues a young boy from ruthless child traffickers, he learns that the boy’s sister remains captive. With time running out, he quits his job and embarks on a harrowing mission deep into the Colombian jungle to bring her home, risking everything to free her from a fate no child should face. This movie is an eye-opening movie to what is happening to our children through-out the world. Please sign up by July 26 so we will know how many to expect.

Game Day & Ice Cream in the Family Life Center

A SENIOR ADULT MINISTRY
Our Homebound Ministry seeks to bring joy and encouragement to members of our congregation who are unable to attend regularly. Through intentional care and connection, we want each person to feel loved, valued, and a meaningful part of our church family.
“Homebound” includes those recuperating at home, living in assisted living or nursing facilities, or facing ongoing limitations that prevent regular participation in church or community activities.
