The J.O.Y Ministries seeks to glorify God as we minister to the senior adults of First Baptist Church and those in the Morehead City area.  Our senior adults are an essential part of many ministries within our church.  It is our goal to provide ministries for our senior adults to grow spiritually, to enjoy fellowship with one another, to serve others, and to gain more knowledge on topics of interest.  Come and join us on this mission.

Overnight Trips

Singing in the Sun - Our Dates for the Event - April 22 & 24
Join us as we travel to Myrtle Beach on Tuesday, April 22 for one of the largest Christian Music events in the world! It will be a wonderful time of fellowship as we hear some great gospel music and powerful speakers!! We will return home on Thursday afternoon on April 24.  There may be a possible shopping trip on Thursday.  

Artists include the Hoppers, Triumphant, Lauren Tally, Mark Trammell Quartet, Jeff Tolbert & Primitive Rd., Karen Peck & New River, Heart 2 Heart, Greater Vision, Philips Criag & Dean, Gold City, Whisnants, and The Sound. 

Speakers will be Dr. David Jeremiah and Dr. Herb Reavis.

Hotel accomodations will be at Fairfield Inn by Marriott - Broadway at the Beach.  All rooms will have 2 queen beds.

Cost (per person) for a single room - $310.34 and 2 per room - $187.17.  Includes hotel, breakfast, and event tickets for 2 nights. A $50 deposit is due by February 10.  Final payment is due by March 31.

Winter 2024/2025 Events

Luncheon with Kristin Furr and Emily Anne Graham - Rescheduled for Thursday, February 13 at 11:30am
The luncheon that was scheduled for January 23 has been rescheduled for February 13. Join us for lunch as we here from two of our newest staff members.  Kristin Furr, our Ministry Assistant, and Emily Anne Graham, our Assistant Children & Youth Leader, will be sharing their story.  Menu will be soup, grilled cheese sandwiches and desserts.  Click here to sign up (even if you had signed up for the January 23rd luncheon) before February 10, so we will have plenty of food.

Game Day - Thursday, March 6 from 2-4pm
Come and join us as we get together for a time of fellowship and snacks as we play different board games.  Bring your favorite board game to play. Snacks will be provided.  Click here and let us know you will be attending.
