The J.O.Y Ministries seeks to glorify God as we minister to the senior adults of First Baptist Church and those in the Morehead City area. Our senior adults are an essential part of many ministries within our church. It is our goal to provide ministries for our senior adults to grow spiritually, to enjoy fellowship with one another, to serve others, and to gain more knowledge on topics of interest. Come and join us on this mission.

Tryon Palace & Lunch in New Bern - Tuesday, September 23
Join us as we travel to New Bern and visit Tryon Palace's 21 acres of gardens with a tour of the 1st & 2nd floors, cellar, and the Kitchen Office. We will also visit the exhibits an museum galleries at the NC History Center and tour the Historic Dixon House. We will have lunch at Lawson's on the Creek that is located in the History Center. Lunch in Oriental and More - Tuesday, October 14
Join us as travel to Oriental, the "Sailing Capital of NC" for Lunch at the Brantley Village Restaurant. We will check out the Oriental History Museum and Old Tater Barn Pickers Trading Post before heading back home. We plan to leave the church at 9am and should return around 4pm. Mike's Farm Christmas Lights and Dinner - Monday, November 24
Join us for dinner and a Christmas lights hayride at Mike's Farm! Cost is $39 for Senior (56+) and $40 for Adults (12-55). We have 50 reservations and are currently full, but we're requested more spots and should know in November. Please click here to add your name to the waitlist if you'd like to go.
Christmas Caroling & Deliver Poinsettias - Thursday, December 4
Join us as we bring a little cheer and Christmas Spirit to our homebound members as we deliver poinsettias and sing Christmas carols. We will leave the church at 2:30pm. Click here to sign up.
Joy Ministries Christmas Celebration - Saturday, December 6 from 2pm-4pm
Join us for our Christmas Celebration in the Family Life Center for some great fellowship and food. Mandy Pursley will perform a Chrsitmas skit and lead us in some Christmas songs to help us get into the Christmas spirit. Please bring your favorite finger foods to share with everyone.
