God has prepared all of us to serve.  One way to see how God has prepared you is to discover your S.E.R.V.E.

Spiritual Gifts - the gifts given by the Holy Spirit to empower you for service.
Experiences - those events in our life that molds you into a servant leader.
Relational Style - this is your personality that makes you unique and gives you a particular leadership style.
Vocational Skills - these are the abilities that you have acquired through your training and experiences.
Enthusiasm - the passion God has placed in your heart for a certain ministry to others.

When a tennis player enhances his or her serve, then they can become a better tennis player.  It is the same way with a servant leader, the more we understand about our S.E.R.V.E. the better we will be able to serve God. To help you in the process, you may complete the S.E.R.V.E. workbook and then meet with one of the pastors to help analyze the results.

At First Baptist we live to be disciples of Christ who exalt God, prepare people and share Christ.  Our Adult Bible Fellowship groups is one way we prepare people to be Disciples of Christ.  We believe that your involvement in an ABF and connecting with other believers is critical to your spiritual formation.  Click here for more information and to see a listing of our current groups.

We believe at First Baptist Church that we exist to help people become fully devoted followers of Christ.  We have identified six key areas of spiritual health to help you know what that looks like.  We feel that a fully devoted follower of Christ will:

• Exalt God by worshipping Him both personally and corporately.
• Grow in spiritual maturity with regular Bible study, reading, and prayer.
• Connect with a Church family through various Christian groups and fellowship.
• Love and serve others unselfishly.
• Share Christ with other people.
• Prepare other people to be fully devoted followers of Christ.
