Welcome to First Baptist Church's Children's Ministry web page.
The Preschool and Children Ministry exists to support each family in their journey of encouraging and strengthening each child's understanding of Jesus Christ and His love for them.
Our goal is to provide opportunities for children to learn about God, Jesus, and the Bible at an age appropriate level. We also desire to provide additional opportunities for families to serve God together as we walk along the journey of faith. Throughout every ministry activity, we will strive to provide a safe, secure, friendly, and excellent learning environment for ALL children.

Worship Care
Worship Care is offered during our 8:30 & 11 Worship Service for children ages birth through 3 year olds. Please see one of our greeters for assistance.
Children Worship
Children Worship is offered during our 11:00 Worship Service for children 4 years of age through 2nd grade. During our worship service, the children are invited to leave with our Children Worship Leader and go to room # 207. Parents may pick the children up after the worship service.
Our Wednesday Evening Ministries (resumes on September 7, 2011)
Mission Friends @ 6:45pm
Mission Friends are for our preschool & kindergarten children. Our little ones will get a chance to learn about mission work around the world.
Girls in Action (GAs) @ 6:45pm
GAs is for 1st - 6th grade girls where they learn about missions, pray for missions, give to missions, and even participate in missions themselves. GAs help girls in our church begin to develop spiritually towards a missions lifestyle as they learn what God is doing in the world and discover their place in God's plan.
Royal Ambassadors (RAs) @ 6:45pm
RAs is for 1st - 6th grade boys. Here boys will have the opportunity to become involved in local missions while learning about missions around the world. The RA Motto, "We are Ambassadors for Christ," not only gives the organization its name, but also gives the boys and leaders a lifestyle goal. This motto is taken from 2 Corinthians 5:20.

Other Children's Ministries
Vacation Bible School
Each year we have a week long Bible school for children ages 4 years through sixth grade. The children participate in Bible stories, music, crafts, recreation, and missions as a way to experience the love of Christ. VBS normally takes place around the the third week of June.
Upward Basketball
Participating in Upward will give your child a chance to experience good sportmanship on and off the court. Your child will also receive a special recognition award after every game and will have the opportuntiy to develop new friendships. Sign up begins in September each year with evaluations taking place in October. Practice begins in November and games are played in January and Feruary.
